Luisa Hansen must go. You can find out why here, via my Yelp review of her lame Italian restaurant in sleepy Cow Hollow. And, check out the save the John Barleycorn site here as well.
Basically, I have a problem with restaurateurs buying the lease from under beloved drinking establishments, while kicking them in the balls. Shame on you Luisa Hansen. I'm sure there is a building in Pacific Heights or The Marina that will suite your needs.
I worked for this awful person when she decided to come to my little foothill town and take over. She is awful!!! She treats her employees worse than the dirt on her shoe, and hasn't paid them in over a month. She definitely must go. I just can't figure out how to get her out of my town!!

Luisa Hansen has opened a restaurant in our little foothill town of Placerville CA. She has also bought one in Folsom and another in downtown Placerville. She has already gone through 90% of the labor pool. No one can stand her. Her food is cold and boarder line un edible. She has poisoned at least three people I know of. When they call to confront them she tells them to f-off and that it never happened. The service is deplorable. It takes way over an hour to get served, and it;s cold when it gets there. This is not San Francisco. There are not a lot of people here. She will burn through the population in less than three months. Good Bye Luisa. Have a nice day.

Michael - thanks for the post. Interesting to hear. I love Placerville. Liar's Bench, Hangman's Tree and the like. I can't imagine this woman would ever be able to last in that environment.

My husband and I had dinner at Luisa's last night and it was wonderful. Luisa has moved back to San Francisco and in no longer affiliated with the restaurant. The new management has really turned it around. The food arrived hot and was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the service excellent. Please, everyone give them another chance! It's a different place now!

Possibly the worst dinner I've ever had! Food took an hour to get to our table. Our food was barely edible. The crazy old Italian lady came over to our table to talk to us. Her B.O. Was so strong that all our appetites quickly went away. The best part of going there tonight was realizing how attrocious the place is and knowing I never have to go there again!

Luisa Hansen is pure poison. Amoung these numerous reports filed here, we'd also like it known that she writes bad checks on her closed accounts, this latest being a $300 hot check written to the Union Street Merchants Association for "Elf-Dollars" which are used during the holiday season for spreading both good will and B2B promotions by and between Union Street Merchants so - STAY AWARE! DO NOT take any money from her. If you do, consider yourself a fool.
Her so called La Vinoteca restaurant is a financial joke, has produced absolutely nothing but fodder, and is already listed as For Sale at a rediculous asking price of 200K! Yes, that's right, just another rip-off waiting for some fool who will pay. Not on my watch! Know this, Luisa, your hot check is going to be turned in to the San Francisco Fraud Division which, when fully prosecuted, will get you one year in jail, and as for you greedy commercial real estate professionals who attempt to scoop up a nice big commission by closing this Vinoteca sale, I suggest you back off, as you WILL be stopped cold at the PC hearings. This is just one more shameful example of a long list of business practices by this terrible woman. We are embarrassed that her name and sleazy reputation is associated in any way with our NCD.

I wish I found this site before I got involved with this evil lady. She is horrible. The worst ever. She lies, treats people with no respect, doesn't pay her bills and blames everybody else for her pathetic situation. Good news is it has finally caught up with her ... she's bankrupt. It's almost sad that the poor washed up old lady is hated everywhere she goes. Her family can't even stand her. Too bad they don't just ship her off to an old folks home and let her rott away like her shitty food.

I agree with every horror story I have heard about this women. I don't know about her SF reputation but all of you writing these blogs from the City should do some G-2 on her reputation in Placerville. She should probably have criminal charges filed against her. She doesn't pay her help. I know several people that have never been paid. She has left a "scar" of a building on our main street with an uncompleted project that looks like skid row. If I were law enforcement I would also look into her funding sources. Might be very interesting.
